Liz Reaves was awarded the City of Light 2016 Outstanding Service Award from the B Team Buffalo. Let’s find out a little more about her!

Q) How did you hear about B Team Buffalo?
A) I first heard about B Team from a volunteering website that I subscribe to and signed up to work the Wing Festival. City of Light has been a highlight for me because you get to see the community members you’re there to help face to face.

Q) Why do you volunteer in the community?
A) I volunteer because growing up my family at times benefited from organizations like B Team. Now that I’m at a place in my life that I can help, I try to as much possible. I also volunteer regularly for the Kevin Guest house and Friends of the Night people.

Q) Outside of volunteering what other passions do you have?
A) When I’m not volunteering or working, my focus is stand-up comedy. It’s a new passion of mine, but it’s proved to be an exciting one. I hope my comedy can provide someone having a down day a little laugh.
