WSIS Street Soccer Tournament

West Side International Soccer (WSIS) is having a Street Soccer Tournament on June 7th at Front Park. WSIS is a non-profit working to provide an affordable organized youth soccer program to Buffalo’s refugee and low-income populations. The tournament will benefit WSIS and provide more opportunities for youth to get involved, as well as Concerned Ecumenical Ministries.

Volunteers are needed in either full day shifts (9 am-5:30 pm) or half day shifts (9 am-1:30 pm or 1 pm-5:30 pm) to help with monitoring the fields by keeping score, reporting scores from referees, chasing balls that go out of bounds and other duties. Volunteers are also needed for set up (8 or 8:30 am) and clean up (5:30 pm). There is an opportunity to participate by forming a league to play in the tournament. Youth games will be held in the early morning and teams cost $40. Adult games will be held in the late morning to early afternoon and teams cost $60.

Teams can register at www.buffalosoccercouncil.org. If you are interested in volunteering at the event or have any questions, please send an email to johanna@bteambuffalo.com.
