Join us in a fall cleanup on Saturday, September 26th, as we lend a helping hand to the Olmsted Parks Conservancy and their efforts to keep our parks pristine and enjoyable for all. We will be turning our Buffalove into action at Cazenovia Park in Buffalo from 9 am to 12 pm. The cleanup will involve light debris removal and pruning, so you don’t have to worry about being a master gardener or a weightlifter to help! Cleaning supplies for this event have been provided to us by Keep WNY Beautiful. The volunteers will receive gloves, bags and cleanup gear, so all you have to bring is yourself (and maybe a few friends!). Our meeting location will be the Cazenovia Casino, located in the park off of Warren Spahn Way.
After the cleanup, we will enjoy a light lunch and beverages as a “thank you” to our volunteers for all of their hard work. We may even be joined by an Olmsted representative, who can provide some information on Buffalo’s historic parks system.
Cazenovia Park is over 100 years old. To learn more precisely when it was created and more about this Buffalo Olmstead Park, you can visit the park’s website by clicking here. To learn more about Keep WNY Beautiful, visit their Facebook page by clicking here or visit their website by clicking here.
