March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction mixes together top local chefs showcasing their culinary masterpieces, a generous sampling of fine wines and beer, fabulous entertainment and a lively auction featuring one-of-a-kind packages.

We are looking for volunteers for this event for multiple shifts mainly between the hours of 3-10:30pm.

Volunteer Job and Descriptions
Dress code: Please wear black pants and a white shirt to this event.
Second shift volunteers are welcome to arrive at the start of the evening before their shift to enjoy the event. First shift volunteers are welcome to stay after their shift to enjoy the event.
Volunteers will be provided with food and water.
PLEASE NOTE: You can choose more than one shift, but do NOT choose shifts that overlap unless you are staying for clean up. Otherwise you will placed in the position with the most need for volunteers from the overlap shifts you have chosen. Your selections on this form our your preferred positions, however we do reserve the right to pull you to another position in the event a need arises.
All Day or 3:00pm – 5:00pm : Set Up
Helping with general set up all day, and before the event. Helping to set up auction, general set up, VIP area, and food tasting stations.
4:00pm – 7:00pm : Volunteer Check-In
Individuals who sign up for this shift are expected to be highly responsible.
Volunteer Check-In: Volunteers at volunteer check in will go over volunteer assignments, and lead volunteers to their proper location. Check in will have all materials for volunteers.
4:00pm – 7:30pm : Check In/Registration
Individuals who sign up for this shift are expected to be highly responsible.
Check In/Registration : Helping to check in guests to the event. General admission, pre-registered, and Will Call.
4:30pm – 7:00pm
Coat Check : Manning the coat check. Giving each patron a receipt ticket volunteer will attach to coat on return.
Silent Auction : Helping with silent auction set up, volunteers needed to watch over items and encourage bidding with the attendees. First shift will sell raffle tickets as well. Second shift to notify attendees when Silent auction is closing. Once silent auction closes, volunteers will need to collect clipboards, bid sheets, pens, and items in order to bring them to the check out area. Volunteers will record winners and make copies for attendees.
V.I.P. Area : Volunteers will assist in the set up, live auction, fund the mission, and tastings in the VIP area.
Floaters : Floaters will go to each station to see if volunteers need drinks, a snack, or be relieved for bathroom use. Floaters will also report problems to event point person if necessary.
Raffle Ticket Sales : Selling raffle tickets to patrons for the Barrow of Cheer and games of chance. Raffle Tickets will be sold at $10 for 1 and $25 for 3.
Wine Pull : Volunteers will accept raffle tickets for the wine pull. Attendees can pull bottles of wine with labels covered. The wine may be cheaper, or a more expensive bottle.
Wine Toss : Volunteers will man the ring toss. Attendees will turn in one ticket for 1 toss, or 3 for 3 tosses. If a volunteer lands on a bottle they win the bottle. If they land on multiple, they can choose which bottle out of the multiples.
Barrows of Cheer : Volunteers to sell raffle tickets and watch over the barrels of cheer. There will be 3 Raffle prizes in the room, a Wheelbarrow of liquor, a basket of beers, and a basket of chocolates.
7:00pm – 9:30pm

Live Auction/Fund The Mission : Volunteers for Live Auction and Fund the Mission spot for bidders during the evening. They work with the auctioneer to notify if people are bidding on items. During the live auction each volunteer is assigned an item. Once a bidder wins an item, the assigned volunteer goes to the bidder to collect their information, and brings it back to the check out area. During Fund The Mission, volunteers spot bidders who are directly donating to the mission. For each person that raises their hand, or donates to the mission, a volunteer will need to go up to them and collect their information. Each person attending will receive a bidder number for the night.

8:30pm – 9:30pm : Check Out
Individuals who sign up for this shift are expected to be highly responsible.
Check Out : Volunteers will assist in the check out process. Attendees will be checking out if they have purchased items in the Silent or Live Auction, if they won one of the raffles, or if they wish to give a general donation. Runners will assist in retrieving items for those at check out.
9:00pm – 10:30pm : Clean Up
NOTE: It is okay to choose this position if it overlaps another.
Clean Up: Assisting in cleaning up the event.
