Pints, Pads, and Packing

What do pints, pads, and packing have to do with one another? It’s the B Team’s annual series of events to help Buffalo’s homeless population! We are continuing our partnership with the Matt Urban Hope Center, and will be working hard to ensure that their homeless outreach programming is stocked with the supplies it needs.

We kick things off with Pints & Pads: a Pad and Tampon Drive. Can you imagine having to choose between buying food or buying feminine hygiene products? That’s a challenge that homeless women face every month. Join us on Wednesday, March 15 from 5:00 to 8:30pm at Community Beer Works (15 Lafayette Ave, Buffalo) for a happy hour where the admission fee is a box of pads or tampons to be donated to the Hope Center! To RSVP and learn more, check out the Facebook event. Pints & Pads is a collaboration between the B Team and Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York.

Next up is Send Hunger Packing, the B Team’s annual pack up of food bags. It’s one of our most popular volunteer opportunities, and with good reason. Send Hunger Packing is a great way to support the Matt Urban Hope Center’s homeless outreach programs by creating nonperishable food bags that are easily accessible and don’t require cooking to eat. We need your help to pull it off! Sign up here to volunteer on Tuesday, March 28 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Matt Urban Hope Center (385 Paderewski Dr, Buffalo) to volunteer. We also need donations to purchase food and supplies for the pack up. Please donate here.

We can’t wait to see you out this month! For even more ways to get involved, check out our event calendar. See you soon!
