Red Jacket Riverfront Park Shoreline Sweep

On the morning of Saturday, April 26th, 21 dedicated B Team volunteers led by two B Team Board Members cleaned up Red Jacket Riverfront Park. This was one of over 40 sites for Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper’s Spring Shoreline Sweep. Our volunteers were among approximately 1,600 total volunteers around Buffalo and western New York who contributed to this transformative effort. In intermittently rainy weather, our volunteers freed this great natural asset of 45 bags of garbage, 15 bags of recyclables, a large pile of roofing shingles, and 13 tires. After the clean-up, the visitors to this park will have a better opportunity to simply enjoy the natural beauty of this park and the sight of the neighboring grain elevators.
