Did you know that more than 5,000 people in Erie County suffer from homelessness each year? How about the fact that over 100,000 Western New Yorkers turn to food pantries and other similar organizations for food assistance?
Join B Team Buffalo as we “Send Hunger Packing” on Monday, March 30 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. We will prepare Ziploc bags with non-perishable food items that can be given to individuals that are part of this under-served population. We need as many hands as we can get to mass-produce these mini, easy-to-distribute bags. Last year we were able to distribute over 500 bags to Friends of Night People and the Seneca Babcock Community Center. We hope to double that number this year!
Code Blue Relief Mission, a non-profit that works directly with the homeless population, will give a brief presentation about this important cause. These bags and items will be given to Code Blue and the Seneca Babcock Community Association food pantry to be provided directly to the individuals they work with!
